by multilinkoMr. Jackman, chairman of events for the Aldergrove Elks, has harsh criticism for the TransLink board members who are set to impose a new tax on parking spaces on business property.
The tax, expected to generate about $20-million a year and charged to non-residential properties, gives the regional transportation board leverage to borrow $200-million to fund more buses and roadways, widen bridges and undertake other transportation projects.
