Cursors, Pointers and Arrow Icons
by sbrothier & 1 other (via)I looked everywhere for these icons. Turns out, they were on my machine all along, burried deep inside. I extracted each icon and threw them on a sheet in Illustrator for easy access. Each icon is sized proportionally so when you drag one into Photoshop as a smart object the icon defaults to it's actual size. If you own a Mac then you already have these icons on your machine here:

GridMaker Reboot - Article - andrewingram
by sbrothier & 1 otherA few months ago I wrote GridMaker to aid in producing grid-based web design mock-ups in Photoshop (and later Fireworks). Whilst very primitive it was well-received and many have informed me how useful they’ve found it. At the same time it was clear that there were a number of issues so I went back to GridMaker and made a number of changes.

Improve your photography with clasical art.
by sbrothier & 10 others (via)Adjusting your photographs to get the color 'just right' can be a chore. Think about this: The Old Masters of painting spent years of their lives learning about color. Why let all their effort go to waste on the walls of some museum when it could be used to give you a hand with color correction?
Download: Photoshop Brushes Series 40
by sbrothier & 1 otherI've had a surprising number of requests for a collection of watercolor-style brushes for Adobe Photoshop. But with the limitations of Photoshop's paint engine, that's a bit of a trick. Unlike programs like Corel Painter and Synthetik Studio Artist, Photoshop doesn't give you the ability to create anything that truly behaves like wet media with spreading, smearing and diffusing effects. Nevertheless, we can get part way there.
