Pour la première fois, le Festival européen des 4 Écrans récompensera les trois meilleurs web-films de 2008 et 2009. Parmi ces douze œuvres conçues spécifiquement pour Internet, neuf web-documentaires. Un genre encore en phase d’expérimentation, donc difficile à définir.

As part of the online programme, a selection of existing documentaries & cross-media projects can be watched directly from the IDFA website. The selection includes websites, mashups, short films and "online premieres" of feature documentaries that have screened at IDFA in the past and/or were funded by the Jan Vrijman Fund.
