As I turned left, I noticed the grill and bumper of a large red Bronco moving at 50 mph, pointed squarely at my passenger window and only feet away. It seemed to pause for a moment, pondering the possibility of passing through my car like a grinning apparition.

We would put the car in ‘drive’, leave the driver side door open and both push. The extra push of the idling car should give us some extra push and once the car rolls over the snow hump, I would trot over to the open door and gingerly depress the brake. I might even win an award for my brilliance under pressure/cold. Pot-head logic.
