PUBLIC MARKS from bertux with tag lfs

The general idea is to create package users, i.e. user accounts with restricted rights, to build and install software packages, rather than doing these tasks as root. Not only does this give you more control over what build and install scripts may or may not do, it can also serve as a quite useful package management system.
