The following notes are about the Punchdrunk production ‘The Drowned Man: A Hollywood Fable’ that ran from July 2013 till July 2014. It’s a combination of my own writing and a collection of other people’s blogs and notes, edited and reworded, to create a straightforward summary of the show and each of the character loops.

If there was no real record of the space, I would create my own. And if I had no capability to adequately create it from scratch, no matter – I would build it out of LEGO. Everyone can build things out of LEGO.

This pre-show talk with Felix Barett and Maxine Doyle was moderated by academic and immersive specialist Josephine Machon about the making of The Drowned Man, and took place in Studio 3 prior to the Sunday show.
