Entertainment in Auto is one area where consumers have a long history of being ahead of the automakers in their expectations and requirements. Automotive historians tells us that the marriage of music and automobiles began in the early 1920s when people began carrying their home radio sets complete with wooden cabinetry out to their cars. Now the iPod is knocking the car stereo business on its ear. Not only can iPod music sound better through expensive speakers, but safety is an issue, too. With adapters, drivers can use their car stereo controls to run their iPod instead of fiddling with the unit itself.
