When buying a brand new car, you know exactly what to expect. You get the manufacturer’s warranty, and you know that the car has a clean title. When buying a used car, you must question everything … I recently bought a 2002 Toyota Corolla from a car dealership in Alabama. I thought I was ready to buy, but apparently I was not. I did not do my homework, and that is the first step when going out to purchase a new or used car. After forgetting the first step, the rest of my mistakes started adding up quickly until I found myself sitting on a stool in my kitchen staring into a mineral water with a hole in my wallet wondering where I went wrong.

One high school in Oregon is offering a chance to win a used car to students who show up regularly and get good grades. Phoenix High School announced to students that showing up to school 95 percent of the time and earning a B average would put them in the drawing for two used cars.
