2008 Toyota Prius - the Most Popular Hybrid
The Toyota Prius is a hybrid vehicle, one of the first to be mass-marketed and produced. The Prius went on sale in its home country of Japan in 1997. By 2001 it was being sold globally. When tested using the United States Evironmental Protection Agency guidelines, the Prius is the most fuel efficient car sold in the U.S., with a combined average MPG of 46 (48 MPG highway, 45 MPG city).
